OCS is pleased to offer our ''Single Sort'' Paper Recycling System, especially designed for the business customer. This unique program allows our customers to recycle 95% of what is discarded from an office work station. This is provided in coordination with our document shredding service. 36” and 40” consoles can be staged throughout your office to collect the daily paper stream and will be picked up on a monthly basis.

Every ton of office paper recovered from our waste stream…

  • saves over 17 trees
  • saves 7,000 gallons of water
  • saves over 20 barrels of oil
  • saves 4,200 kilowatt hours of electricity
    (enough energy to run the average household for over six months)
  • keeps 60 pounds of air pollution effluents out of the air
  • saves over 3 cubic yards of landfill space.

Additionally, each ton of paper produced from virgin fibers uses 2 ½ times more energy than producing it from recycled paper.  Recycled paper is also produced in a cleaner, less toxic process than non-recycled paper.
