| Roll Off Container FAQ's |
|
Q: Where can I place the roll off container? A: Most homeowners have the container placed in their driveway. Please keep in mind that driveways must have a firm foundation or the weight of the truck and loaded container may crack the driveway. Containers may also be placed on the lawn, but the weight of the container and truck will damage the lawn and in some cases leave ruts. Please examine the area you would like the container to be placed to ensure there is enough access keeping in mind that there must be at least 25' of overhead clearance. Q: What types of heavy materials can be placed in the roll off container? A: Dirt, bricks, and other compact material may be placed in containers, but only a maximum of 1/3 of the container may be filled due to their weight. Our trucks are permitted to safely haul 10 tons of material. If containers are overfilled it is the customer's responsibility to unload the material to a safe weight level. Any overweight tickets will be passed on to the customer. Q: What materials can NOT be placed in the roll off container? A: Generally speaking any hazardous waste, liquids or special wastes such as paints or pesticides may not be disposed of in a roll off container. Further some types of materials may not be mixed in the load if they are required by law to be recycled such as cardboard. Many area disposal facilities have strict guidelines for contaminated loads. Special handling is required for appliances and computers. Please review our list of prohibited materials for further details. Q: Do I need to be on site when the roll off container is delivered? A: Yes, we prefer the customer be available to sign for the container placement and other terms of delivery. A deposit is also required at the time of delivery by cash, or before hand by credit card or check by phone. If you are unavailable during the delivery of your container please make arrangements to have a delivery slip agreement emailed or faxed to you prior to delivery, as we must have complete paperwork in order to deliver the container. Q: Do I need to do anything special on the day I have a scheduled dump? A: Be sure to maintain clear and safe access. Also, you will need to ensure there are no vehicles parked in front or on the sides of the container. If containers are not accessible or are overloaded when the driver arrives there is a trip charge to have them return at a later time. Q: How large is a 30 yard roll off? A: A 30 yard is 22’ feet long and 5’ high. We estimate that you can fit approximately 10 level pick up truck loads in one container. Keep in mind that pricing on roll offs is based on weight so the lighter the material the less expensive and the heavier the more costly it will be to dispose of. Average roll off weights for home renovation projects are from two to four tons while larger projects can range from seven to eight tons per haul. Q: If I order roll off services today online, what are your rates for Temporary Rolloff Service? A: Charges for temporary roll off boxes are based on two factors: transportation costs (haul) and landfill costs (disposal). Temporary jobs ordered online will incur a flat haul charge inclusive of disposal costs up to four tons. Any disposal above four tons will be billed landfill rates on a per ton basis. Please refer to our terms and conditions. |
